It is part of the nightshade (solamum) genus and gains its name due to its unusual shape, resembling both a human breast and a cow's udder. In China it is known as the Five Fingered Eggplant, in Japan it is known as Fox Face. Cultivation Takes about three weeks at a temperature of 22 - 25° C Likes well drained compost and full sun. Suitable for pots or plant straight into the ground. Do not water-log. Feed regularly using a tomato feed or similar. Avoid frost.
