Barrel Cactus - Echinocactus grusonii - Quality Seeds

10 Seeds - Barrel Cactus - Echinocactus grusonii The Barrel cactus is native to the Southwest Desert of North America. It is quite easy to cultivate and will grow relatively quickly for a cactus. After several years, yellow or orange blooms will appear, usually in April, though late blooming is possible. The flowers later turn orange and wilt away to reveal small pineapple-shaped fruits. The fruits are bitter and not appealing to eat. The sharp needle-like spikes can be dangerous to people and animals, so location is important to consider when growing these. These cacti can live to over 100 years and can become quite large in the right conditions, even holding up to 500kg of water! Full instructions included. In Stock and Ready for Dispatch
